Sleeper meets the Burning Chambers!

Today I bumped into one of the loveliest people in publishing, author and founder of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, Kate Mosse.
I was a student of Kate’s husband, ace creative writing teacher, Greg Mosse, back in the day. I first met Kate after the release of Labyrinth more than ten years ago. Our paths crossed over the years, mostly - and happily - at the bar in West Dean College, where I was studying for a Masters.
I also volunteered at some of the terrific Chichester Literary festivals run by Greg and Kate. Greg has a wicked sense of humour and I recall his suggestion that after Kate’s interview with Mark Billingham, perhaps I would like to present Mark with his thank you bouquet of flowers. I agreed, smiled but politely declined the second suggestion of a curtsy. So, at the end of the talk I gracefully took to the stage and gave Mark his bouquet. Raised a few Chichester eyebrows, and laughs too. Especially the impromptu air kissing.
I love Kate’s books. They are epic page turning adventures and first-rate stories with engaging characters. Can’t wait to read The Burning Chambers. Buy the signed first edition today from Goldsboro Books.
